Landscape artist Carl Rowe currently serves as Co-artistic Director of Idaho Dance Theater. Rowe will premiere two new works for Under Construction, the program set to open the company's 19th season. Under Construction is composed of several works that fuse classical and contemporary dance and music. Carl's piece Together Still is set to the music of Dimitri Shostakovich while NeoAntique uses music based on 17th Century Italian guitar playing. Under Construction opens Thursday, November 1, and continues through November 4.

The influences of dance can be seen in Carl's landscapes, which capture the strong forms and quiet drama of such places as the Boise Foothills.
