Mary Frances accepted into Florence Biennale

This month Mary Frances will send her painting Metamorphosis to Florence, Italy for the internationally inclusive Biennale. Frances will display her work alongside artists from around the world from December 1st through the 9th. Frances will be in Italy for the duration of the show.

Metamorphosis is a part of her Red Glove Series, which includes in each painting a pair of boxing gloves and a reference to an elephant. The elephant motif is inspired by the saying "the elephant in the middle of the room" which to Frances represents denial.

J Crist Gallery is also featuring her gold leaf and egg tempera icons in this month's show, China Daydream.
