Arts on Trails

The McCall Arts and Humanities Council dedicated Amy Westover's Arts on Trails project on June 4, 2005. Amy, a J Crist Gallery artist, designed the trail markers as part of a $10,000 project funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Idaho Commission on the Arts, the National Park Service and the McCall Arts and Humanities Council. The markers feature five stone cairns with a metal plate at the top that includes mapping information and a description of a natural feature of that particular site. She is currently working on four large scale artworks which will be architecturally integrated into the new Education Center Facility at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, commissioned through the Boise City Arts Commission.
