Amy Westover commission at SARMC

J Crist Gallery artist, Amy Westover, has been granted the commission for a public artwork by Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. The sculpture titled Blue Rising will be located at the new roundabout in front of the main entrance. Rising 8' off the ground and stretching nearly 12' across the sculpture will have a presence that will not only compliment the architecture of the hospital but create a landmark for way finding. The sculpture will have a flowing, undulating feel as one drives around it. However, visitors and patients in the new tower of the hospital will have a birds eye view of the sculpture and notice the angelic figure rising up into the sky.
