J Crist Gallery artists nominated for Louis Comfort Tiffany award

Local artists Cate Brigden and Andrea Merrell were recently nominated for the 2007 Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Biennial Competition Award. Artist nominations are accepted by proposal only, and are submitted by art professionals who wish to acknowledge an artist of their choosing. The grant is geared toward rewarding an artist with particular strength and ingenuity who has not yet received widespread critical or commercial recognition. The judging panel is comprised of artists, critics, and museum professionals along with the Foundation's trustees.
