"I paint with water colors because they appear so transitory and ephemeral, which is perfect for expressing fleeting moments in time. It is difficult from a technical standpoint but lends itself readily to a delicate flower petal or leaf, glass or other shiny object. I am at my best when I can present a work that becomes a means for the viewer to look deeply into what is in his or her surroundings or to serve as a vehicle in reflecting on the transitory nature of life."
